All students entering Reedley College or the North Centers for the first time (or after a 3-year absence) must take a General Placement test prior to registration in order to be advised by a counselor. This is part of the Matriculation process mandated by the State of California Community College Chancellor's Office, and an effective component of the "Multiple-Criteria" counseling process as well. The assessment test measures your skill level in 3 areas important to all academic undertakings:
·Reading Comprehension
·Sentence Skills
·Arithmetic, Elementary Algebra, or College Level Math.
Students should view this as a measure of their skills in order to help a counselor and the student determine the best choice of classes to start their academic career. You cannot pass or fail this test.
